Full design service
The first stage of the design process is for Gabby to make an initial consultation visit to meet you and have a brief look at the site. The purpose of this visit is for Gabby to introduce herself, ascertain the amount and type of work involved and to discuss any ideas you have for your finished garden.
Following the initial consultation Gabby will come back to the site to make a detailed assessment of the area. This will involve taking photographs and measurements and usually takes 1-1½ hours, depending on the size and layout of the site. There is no need for the client to be present during the survey. If the topography of the site is complicated, for example if there are major level changes, an additional, more detailed, survey by a surveyor may be required.
The data from the site survey will then be used to draw up a base plan of the existing features. Gabby will then produce two or three concept plans to illustrate her ideas for the proposed garden layout. Gabby will discuss these concepts with you at a further visit and agree on a final design.
Once the final design is agreed Gabby will draw up a detailed final plan. This plan will include construction details, where required, and a full plant schedule. The detail on this plan will be sufficient to be used by a landscape contractor to carry out all construction and planting work.
